We are Carlos and Sol and since the beginning of 2010 we have been dedicated to breeding the Water Dog. What started as a hobby, driven by the passion for this extraordinary breed, has ended up being our way of life. Our Zoo Nucleus as a breeding center is located in the heart of the Lleida Pyrenees, within the Alt Pirineu Natural Park. We breed very familiarly, limiting ourselves to about four litters per year in order to be able to give the maximum quality of life to both our dogs and their puppies. We give primary importance to the character of our dogs rather than creating a specific morphology, avoiding inbreeding to achieve that goal, and that does not mean we stop respecting the breed standard, having our taste and criteria when selecting our specimens.
Care and environment
We are very clear that apart from the genetic aspect, the "imprinting" of the puppies is essential. This stage is the one in which the puppy knows and absorbs all the behaviors, both doggy from its mother, siblings and other adult specimens and from humans. All of these behaviors will be essential for the subsequent development of your personality and character. The most sensitive stage of this period is from 2 to 7 weeks and it is essential that the puppies be with their mother and siblings during this time. That is when each individual becomes aware of who they are and who their peers are. For all these reasons we believe that the eighth week is ideal for the puppy to become part of its new family and to be able to face its "socialization" with the world with the maximum guarantees. This second stage is very important and your new human family has a vitally important role as an educator and correcter of your behaviors.
